Casting is not putting down gently, in case you need it back. It's throwing. It's letting the thing leave your hand entirely. Most of us hand God our worries and keep a finger hooked through the handle. The reason He asks for it isn't that He's tired of hearing about it. It's the second half of the verse: He cares for you. He wants your hands free.
Father, I'm letting go of the thing I keep picking back up. Take it properly this time.
