“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10 · NIV
Stillness feels irresponsible when there's this much to do. That's exactly why it's commanded. The verse doesn't say be still and feel better — it says be still and know. Some things about God are only legible at a standstill. Give it three minutes this morning. Not to ask for anything. Just to stop long enough to remember who's actually in charge.
Lord, I'm stopping. Show me what I've been moving too fast to see.
