This Day Is a Gift

Notice the psalm says this day. Not a better one, not the one you were hoping for — this one, handed to you on purpose. You can spend it waiting for a different day, or open the one you have been given.

Joy, here, is not a reaction to good conditions. It is a decision made in the presence of God, and it holds when the weather of life does not. Every day is a good day. So make it a Friday — and let the gladness come from who made the morning, not from how the morning happens to be going.
